We laid in the grass.
You and I

We laid in the grass.
With your head in my lap, with your hand in my hand.

We laid in the grass.
With fresh rain on the flowers, and their scent in the air.

We laid in the grass.
You and I with no worries on our mind, loosing track of time.

We laid in the grass.
Listening to nature sing, trees whistling, the birds in their leaves

We laid in the grass.
And laid, and laid, and laid, and laid

We laid in the grass.
Telling each other secrets from our past.

We laid in the grass.
You, the insects and I. Smelling sweet nectar and letting time fly.

We laid in the grass.
And kissed on the lips. You tasted of honey and my lipstick.

We laid in the grass.
And waited for rain and when it never came we sunk in the dirt and slept the night away.

We laid in the grass.
When the morning sun came
You kissed me on the forehead and left leaving nothing the same

I laid in the grass
The insects and I letting them crawl trying not to cry.
