Snow shines like diamonds in the light
And glows softly all lonely night
Come sunrise, the brilliance fades to grey
Until the next blanket of white

My footsteps are fleeting, they never stay
My words are muffled, no matter what I say
Winter has no time to waste and spend
With Springtime already on it's way

The thawing and waking is just around the bend
Soon we'll be yawning, you and I, my friend
With morning on the way, we can't wait
Eagerly anticipating Winter's end

Warmth is knocking on the gate
It seems to me, we've made a date
So please, Spring, don't be late
Please, Spring, don't be late
