"Once"

I let you in once.
I let you fall into me.
I let you in and you lost the key.
And I open my arms, and you fell for me.
You took me around in circles, I go.
Fall into me, these open arms.
A sudden storm and it’s overflowing,
These feelings I have, don’t let this go.
For you I know I must be strong.
But it’s hard when this is one of many loves’
For which I’ve fallen.
I ask you once came nature’s calling,
For a love so wrong I’m falling,
You’re in the midst of an addiction.
Now I know I have chosen the wrong one,
So I run for cover, this has to be over.
Though I know it’ll make you stronger,
And me weaker.
I ask you once came nature’s calling,
For a love so wrong I’m falling,
Though I know it’ll make you stronger;
And me weaker.
Addicted to cigarettes,
I know you’re no good.
Addicted to cigarettes like a love,
You don’t know it could kill you.
You don’t know what to think.
So you think nothing.
I ask you once, no answer.
I ask you twice, came cancer.
