My Nikes are laced
and my legs are locked
I find myself balancing
on a thin-wired catwalk
I've got two feet to make
a simple decision,
a left to cause backaches
and a right to bring television
But on the catwalk's bridge,
I take my left foot higher
No longer standing on the ridge,
I'm making myself a flyer
Dozens of kids standing around
in wonder of the self
I've come and found
No more hiding in bookshelves
or in Rachel's living room
I'm making a new entrance
with a bang and a pop
and a lightning kaboom

I've joined the track team at my school, which is something out of character for me. I'm not the most athletic person and I'm challenging myself to broaden my horizons.

Nice. Without your comment I probably wouldn't understand it, but with it I can really relate.
