vibrations swallow my body
needles piercing the brain
going insane
crystal-clear thinking
uncontrollable shaking
my scream echos
in the walls of my mind
struggling to find a way
but not a word can escape
possessed by my
demon shell
all is hell
where am I?
detached,
not a bone is my own
I see my death
my limbs rattling
out of control

I wanted to write a poem to express the horror of seizures, to show how serious they truly are.

"I believe everything happens for a reason. People change so that you learn to let go. You believe lies so that eventually you learn to trust no one but yourself. And sometimes, things fall apart so that better things can fall together."-Marilyn Monro

This is really, really powerful. I've never had a seizure, and I really don't know much about them, but this really spoke to me. Very raw and intense. Loved it, and it really got your message across.
