The Times of Yore

I'd like to live in times of yore
Before man ever liv'd.
Before even matter and tangible things,
Before the fog did drift.
Don't you think t'would be great
To float freely in the air?
To see ev'rything that could be seen?
To not ever have a care?
I know I would like all these things
Back in the times of yore.
But I sure would miss the company
It might even be a bore.
So that is why I have decided
To stay in the present time.
Yes, I have a time machine
You may use it for a dime.
