Pity's echo say no more
Of torment o'er our lives so poor
Might we go down here forthwith
And undertake this dark day's myth?
In fear we plead, yet all is lost
Like weakened sailors tempest-tossed
For comfort now we may well plea
For saving from emotion's sea
Though dark and dense is our despair
And hurt proceeds beyond repair
I charge you here gaze on the Light
Perfection giving rays of right
Of torment o'er our lives so poor
Might we go down here forthwith
And undertake this dark day's myth?
In fear we plead, yet all is lost
Like weakened sailors tempest-tossed
For comfort now we may well plea
For saving from emotion's sea
Though dark and dense is our despair
And hurt proceeds beyond repair
I charge you here gaze on the Light
Perfection giving rays of right
