The Fairest of Them All, Snow White

By , San Diego, CA
The fairest of them all was Snow White,
Her beauty was always quite a sight,
With lips like blood, hair like the night, and skin like snow,
She never seemed to stop to glow.
.
Her story began with an evil stepmother,
She would always ask her mirror
“Who is the fairest of them all?”
To which the mirror one day replied, “Tis another.”

The fairest of them all was Snow White,
Her beauty was always quite a sight,
With lips like blood, hair like the night, and skin like snow,
She never seemed to stop to glow.

So poor Snow White had to flee,
For staying would have been a death guarantee,
Deep into the forest, till she started to slow,
Snow White had to run, until she could not go.

She met and lived with not three,
But seven kind old dwarves,
With the names of Doc and Dopey, even Grumpy and Sleepy,
Bashful, Sneezy, and jolliest was Happy.

And then one day the stepmother found out,
Snow White, whose death she still wanted to bring about,
Disguised herself as an old hag,
And gave Snow White a poisoned apple from her bag.

The dwarves, being true friends,
Sent the evil stepmother off a cliff and to her end,
But when they got back, to their disbelief,
Snow White was still as a rock, oh, how they felt grief.

But couldn’t bear to part with the sight of her head,
So they put her in a glass case trimmed with gold,
And they watched over her, through seasons hot and cold.

And then came he, who had once heard as Snow White sung.
He was a Prince, handsome and young,
In love ever since, he gave her a magical kiss,
Her eyes opened wide, she rode off with him, and everyone was in bliss.
