Blush

Pink strawberry blush in your cheeks
Or maybe you’re just cold
Arrogant youth in the pout of your lip
Or maybe I’m getting old

Quiet thunder in the dash of your eyes
You’ve got me mellowed out
Unwonted wisdom hidden in your voice
I’d be deafened by the shout

The tip of your nose buried in a rose
You never seemed a romantic
You look away, now frowning, now gay
You’ve got me mixed-up and frantic

With the scarlet letter blush in your cheeks
Or maybe we’re just cold
Steadily warmer with the touch of your lip
Oh, honey, now I’m sold!

Favorite verse. Its a great poem, original rhyming and theme, light yet not superficial. :) Nice work.
