Yonder Pretty Pill-Popper

“Yonder pretty pill-popper popped her pretty pink pills
And opened her mind up
to lacy pink thrills.
This pretty pill-popper
popped up on her cot
And bopped me a headache
I never forgot.
That flimsy femme fatal
got plump as a frog
Forgot all my faults
in a fuggy fat fog
She told me she lufed me
(like fault loves a form)
And if I could luf her,
she’d work to reform.

Yonder young pimple-popper’s
my daughter and joy
And she’s never to go for
your pink-pepper ploy
You’re a proper young pirate, don’t know what she’s seen
Folks listen politely,
Don’t see what I mean.

Penelope’s more than a pill-poppin’ kid;
She used to play princess and pirate, she did.
She’s peppy, oh yes, and I’ll
tear out your throat
If you use her like I used
her mother, you pote.

My luf, where you going?
It’s dark on the street.
I know what we need.
Pull the pills out,
let’s eat.”
