I look at this stone
This stone that is stuck in the ground
Stuck in the ground forever
I stare at it and think of you
Not because you are cold and hard
But because like this stone you are in the ground
But unlike this cold hard unmoving stone you were warm sweet and loving
You made everyday a new and fun adventure
Whether it was sitting in your house doing homework
Driving around town
Or just
Walking
Talking
Laughing
Then in one moment everything changed
And you became like the stone that marks where you lay.
