I Am

I am a fun loving person with a wild imagination.
I dream of an alternate world where everything’s fun.
I see cotton candy clouds and lollipop stop signs.
I hear the laughter of happy little children.
I want to take a ride on the colorful magic carpet.
I am a fun loving person with a wild imagination.

I pretend that grass is orange instead of green.
I feel the perfectly sweet candy apple sticking to my teeth as I bite into it.
I touch the lime green stars in the violet sky as the magic carpet glides in the air.
I began to worry that I’ll wake up from my dream.
I laugh at the light blue monkeys arguing over apples on top of the moon.
I am a fun loving person with a wild imagination.

I know I can’t stay in this alternate world forever.
I’ll just stay until someone from the real world wakes me.
I dread the very thought of ever going back.
I wish my magic carpet could fly forever.
Huh, I sigh as I am awakened from my dream, but still,
I am a fun loving person with a wild imagination.
