The Past and Present

The future peeks with a shining white,
the past looks forward with a jet black,
the present sits with a content blue.
You move along starting from the past,
it feels rough like sand in shoes,
cold as with a resonating buzz.
The longer you walk the black smoothes,
it becomes softer and lighter.
Now it's a soft blue you enjoy,
but you look back.
A doorway sits between,
you close it and the past disappears.
