Children scream, People die
Buildings fall, Missiles fly
Soldiers march by one man’s hand
An ever-growing reach over the land

Explosions fall
A harrowing call
To go to fight
For a born-to right

Fields are empty which once were filled
It is the victims who are billed
All men on Earth are left in fear
Only one man is left with reason to cheer

But such things are fleeting
And his hand took a beating
What once was strong fell to the past
Because such things can never last

With stripes of color, parades, and banners
Everyone was filled with joyful manners
A song was sung to the tune of a band
“He who hurt has hurt his hand”
