Don’t ask me……...to be someone, anyone
Don’t ask me……...to become a doctor, an
actor, or a chemical engineer
Don’t ask me……...to live everyday life,
or to be a normal person
Don’t ask me……...to put others before
myself
Don’t ask me……...to die a coward, or die
a fool’s death
Don’t ask me……...to waste my life sharing a
foolish dream
Don’t ask me……...to do anything unselfish,
caring, respectful, or worthwhile
Even if you don’t like it……………..I AM A SOLDIER
I will do all of this and you don’t even have to ask me
Because I WILL leave my family
I WILL fight for what is right for I AM A SOLDIER
I WILL protect this country even if it means I’ll never see
my family again
I WILL stand for what is right no matter what happens, no
matter the cost
For I love this beautiful land that God has given to us
For I AM A SOLDIER………I don’t care if you think I’m
a hero, a guardian, or a savior
Because I know I’m just the same as all of you, I’m
