First, I have to change

I wish I could ask you not to judge me by my looks
But I judge you by yours
I wish I could ask you to break my bad habits
But I don’t break mine
I wish I could ask you to put others first
But I put myself first
I wish I could ask you to be your best
But I’m not my best
I guess I’ll have to change, first
Before I ask others to change, for me
I might as well set a good example
Maybe you’ll follow in my lead
