Lost Treasure
I feel like a lost treasure
At the bottom of the storming sea
Lost and forgotten
For all eternity
Giving off my final twinkle
For one last hope
That someone will save me
I once was a dazzling image
Of life
And had the attention of all
That passed me by
I went from hand to hand
Admirer to admirer
Never once in the back
Of a mind
Now I’m drifting
On the dark cold ocean floor
Covered by dirt and grime
From my endless sorrow
Sinking deeper and deeper
Into the unforgiving earth
Until one day I’ll be gone
Like the light of the sun
