The Sunset & Sunrises
We would sit together,
And watch the sunset
We'd hold each other,
And watch the sunrise
During these times,
I would look into your eyes
And you would look back,
Filled with joy and smiles
Together we watched,
It grow dark and cold
Only to watch it,
Grow bright and warm again
And throughout these times,
Dark or light, Cold or warm
We'd stay with each other,
And would never let go
-------------
We would sit together
And watch the sunset
We'd hold each other,
And watch the sunrise
I thought it was true love,
And you thought so too
We used to tell each other,
We'd get married one day
Have our own home,
And our own kid too
We'd have home made meals,
Takeaways only on Tuesday
And that whenever it would rain,
We'd dance in it together
Until we grew old,
And our kid had kids too
-------------
We would sit together
And watch the sunset
We'd hold each other,
And watch the sunrise
But after a while,
You came less and less
And I wondered why,
But when I found out
I wish I'd never asked,
because the answer I got
Was not a jest,
You were sick, and only getting sicker
And we spent together,
All that time you had left
Until one day,
You were no longer around
-------------
We would sit together
And watch the sunset
We'd hold each other,
And watch the sunrise
We'd always talk about,
The stupid things in life
You'd tell me lots of jokes,
Funny or not
And comment about,
The beautiful sky above
But now that you're gone,
Forever and ever
I no longer watch,
The Sunsets & Sunrises
