Piensa Positivo

Hace una vez el entorno de mi casa no estuve positiva;
Mi familia necesitaba ser más preventiva.
No había respeto o apoyo en mi casa;
Inicialmente, no supe que pasaba.
Pero, mi padre era el culpable;
Así que cuando se fue era saludable.
Inmediatamente me di cuento del cambio;
En mi hermana, mi madre, y yo.
Algo bueno vino de un periodo de miseria;
La próxima vez algo mal se ocurre, yo recordaría…
Siempre hay una perspectiva positiva;
Y que una mala situación es educativa.

I never back down from a challenge.
When I was told to write about the story of myself or my family, I dug deep and that motivated me to try it in another language.
The arts are not limited to one race, culture, or language.
Writing this poem proved to me that my experiences and those of others are worth something to everyone. Hopefully it's worth something to you too!
