The wildfire scorched the land
Leaving trees a chalky black
The squirrels and munks ran upwards
Only to prolong their death

Leaving trees a chalky black
The giant flames subsided
Only to prolong their death
Claiming as much land as they could

The giant flames subsided
Water droplets drowning them
Claiming as much land as they could
Before getting washed out

Water droplets drowning them
The soil soaked up the rain
Before getting washed out
The seeds of new life got buried

The soil soaked up the rain
Nourishing the germination beneath
The seeds of new life got buried
To be fed back to new heights
