Attacks

Prowling
Crouching
Always there
Ready to spring in on you
When you’re not aware
It comes like a big cat
Ready for the kill
You better act quick
But how
You better think quick
Before he catches you
You might not survive
And if you survive
His first attack
Beware
He might be back
For a second attack
The second
Third
Fourth attack
Might be better
Or worse
Than the one before
But
I know
That you have
The will-power
There perseverance
To over come that
Wild beast
It attacks me
Day after
Agonizing day
And
More than once a day
I get through it,
So you can too
I’ll back you up
It’ll be alright
You will survive
But only if
You don’t
Give
Up

I suffer from anxiety problems. I'm not ashamed, a lot of people do. This poem- and many others I will probably post- are from my own personal poetry journal. I hope you enjoy.
