Skies are dreary and gray,
Every ounce filled with dismay.
Heavy rains come clashing down,
And on my face rests a frown.
Finally, the storm does stop,
Ending without a single drop.
The sky turns cheerful and bright,
Instead of darkness comes light.
Spreading across the sky,
A rainbow meets my eye.
What happens after rain,
Washes away all lingering pain.
