Just Because...

Just because I am sixteen
doesn’t mean all my decisions are mistakes.
It doesn’t mean I am too young to understand what love is
But it does mean I take everything you say to me to the heart.
Just because I am sixteen
doesn’t mean my opinions should be disregarded
It doesn’t mean I am always a “drama queen”
But it does mean I need a role model to look up to.

I really wrote this for my dad. Sometimes as a teen I feel like my voice isn't heard and this "poem" let out some things that I think and feel.
