His mouth will a thousand deadly lies.

Your lover's eyes will grow dark, his hold will grow light,

But you will believe him, for all his good disguise.

Though your mind will whisper the demise,

Your heart still lingers for his sight.

His mouth will speak a thousand deadly lies.

For him, your heart is an complete outsize.

Nonetheless, your mind will try to keep its running light,

But you will believe him, for all his good disguise.

You feel as though your heart is unwise,

And his excuses are getting a bit trite.

His mouth will speak a thousand deadly lies.

You're still stuck to each and every little tie,

Even though he said he wasn't out until midnight.

But you will believe him, for all his good disguise.

And all this time you stood for his eyes,

He'll never truly see your inner light.

His mouth will speak a thousand deadly lies,

But you will believe him, for all his good disguise.

More of a Villanelle poem. Did for a class project and turned out to really like it. :))
