You Said I Couldn't

You said I couldn't cry,

you said to hold it in,

you said my wrongful eyes,

should never have to win,

that the voices I heard,

shouldn't control my thoughts,

they were absurd,

they said what I was not,

yet I cried inside,

tears fell in my emotions,

my hope drowned at night,

to not cause commotions,

I feared to appear weak,

I strived to be strong,

yet the tears at my feet,

showed that I was wrong,

my lonesome ideas,

puddled on the floor,

along forgotten retinas,

that can't cry anymore,

now I'm stuck in memories,

replaying how I hurt,

yet remembering,

has caused my thoughts to blurt,

I'm frozen in my mind,

confused by how I feel,

I don't know what to find,

because I don't know what is real.
