Sneaker
Fast speed is upon the runner
Red flakes of color fill the sole
Energetic men and women
Easy gold medal to take home
Running is what suffices my heart
Under the influence of my father
Nothing will defeat my style
Say nothing and it means everything
Dear white sneakers,
When i first opened your beautiful box
I have never felt so alive.
My jaw dropped at your shininess
I heard you scream my name.
Sorry for getting you dirty,
That mud puddle was our worst enemy.
I miss our glowing walks,
In the summer along the coast of cape cod.
Your owner and best friend.
