Pinecone
Love is a pinecone
The fruit of something living
The seed for something new
Perhaps God
Understood
That love is so hard
To understand.
So on the day he created
The forests
He molded
Love into a seed
And commanded it to grow
From all the conifers.
Let us take walks
when it is jacket-chilly,
stop under an evergreen,
look up,
and understand love.
