Unaware
Oh how you changed me,
And you don’t even know.
My long brown hair,
And bright blue eyes,
Are all from you,
Forever the wise.
From the date of my birth,
To the time of my death,
I shall always remember,
Your kind and merry breath.
The smile that never fades,
And arms open wide,
Eyes full of love,
And overflowing with pride.
You are the reason I am who I am,
Who would I be without you?
Probably just another girl,
Trying to get a clue.
Oh how you changed me,
And you don’t even know.
I love you dearly,
It’s never a show.
You are filled with beauty,
Inside and out,
I dread the day,
I will be without.
Oh how you changed me,
And you don’t even know.
The amazing mother you are,
I hope to someday mimic.
Because I know,
It’s never a gimmick.
I love you very much,
From the bottom of my heart,
You are a person,
A wonderful work of art.
