When we speak, the words we say
have an impact that will stay;
they have a cost that we all pay,
but oftentimes those words betray
our future thoughts and decisions,
they contrast our ideal visions
causing gaps, vast divisions
leaving thirst for revisions
of the past's final verdict
whose guidelines strongly contradict
with decisions, far too strict,
now giving birth to new conflict.
Goodbye has a distinct meaning,
however, now I'm intervening.
I wish to simply make amends,
to bury the hatchet, to disregard past,
to make the sea of hate less vast
with potential of reborn friends.
