Warm bubble bath
moisturizing soap
sudsy lovely
shampoo for six-fifty
Bloating my skin into wrinkles
like so many bloated bellies
frothing like so much blood
on a river's shores.
I close my eyes, rinse
Fifty gallons of freshwater
Clean
No bacteria, no disease
Drain down down
Don't think of anyone
Who might need to drink it.
