In The End
They walked on, though the path was not lit.
From two different worlds, love seemed hopeless,
but in the end, it will be worth it.
We begin with two souls, destined to be torn
between love and family, they're put to the test.
They walked on, though the path was not lit.
When they declare their love, they are warned.
He fights back, she begs for forgiveness,
but in the end, it will be worth it.
They run away and elope, families mourn
the death of their reputation, everyone's in distress.
They walked on, though the path was not lit.
Time goes on, everyone adjusts, it's back to the norm.
Only to them, was it a sucess.
But in the end, it will be worth it
In a war, she was born.
Little girl in their arms, they emerged out of the darkness.
They walked on, though the path was not lit,
and in the end, it was worth it.

This piece is about two people who are of different faiths, but their love is so strong, even their family's disapproval will not keep them apart. I found inspiration for this poem fron my parents and their inspiring story.
