New Old Tractor
2015 was the first year we met.
Some would say your years were spent.
I’ll always remember my first glance, lost in you’re rusty stance.
Though nowadays you’re paint has grayed, I will not be dismayed.
Seventy years will do a number on anyone's gears.
I cannot wait for the summer day, when I can steer you through the dusty hay.
Still running like new, though many farmers have owned you.
The next drive won’t be your first, but certainly not the worst.
Despite the imperfections, I’ll never show this old tractor objection.
