Seldom

Lies are seldom caught

lest truth proves them naught;

a lies dreaded challenge

is one often fought.

Truth is seldom known

lest silence meets stone

sharpened edge of a blade

of a sword well honed.

The edge is seldom fine

of the sword I call mine,

lest suspicions are pondered

over a glass of wine.

And I will seldom go

on living if I know

that a lie is alive

lest I become its foe.
