My Last Plea
You've made a big mistake.
I can feel it in my skin.
I love you more than ever.
Forget our ending, let's begin.
I don't see how we got here.
Our love was homeward bound.
I think somewhere inside you
Your love is still around.
You spoke about forever
And said you'd never go
But as I lay here, cold and lost
I must applaud your show.
I know I should forget you
I know I should move on
But it seems to me the more I try
The more I'm called upon.
It's not that I am worried
I know she'll treat you well
But my life without you by my side
Is simply living hell.
Don't take me back for pity
Or because I can't let go
But take me back because of you,
Because you love me so.
So here for you is my last plea
To open up your eyes
And realize that we're worth the wait
And that time can't pass us by.
