When I look across the half empty room into your distant tired eyes I know I’m not alone.
It feels like an entire lifetime has passed before the world rushes in awakening us from our fiction.
Subtle smiles, stolen glances, and unspoken words left with a hushed tone.

There lies penetrate my mind creating the man they wanted me to be causing my thoughts to hone.
They break me down leaving me with nothing but an affliction
When I look across the half empty room into your distant tired eyes I know i’m not alone

The false hope and hollow words of understanding leave me lone
My broken spirit has caused my addiction.
Subtle smiles, stolen glances, and unspoken words left with a hushed tone.

I’ve disappeared and I’m still unknown
The world has become my play and I still have to audition.
When I look across the half empty room into your distant tired eyes I know I’m not alone.

The constant of our unsaid story leaves my mind in a state of silicone
Walking through the halls with the world looking in I feel like an exhibition.
Subtle smiles, stolen glances, and unspoken words left with a hushed tone.

My lies go unnoticed and my heart neglected just like my pleaful undertone.
They have made a person out of my broken pieces taking my disposition
When I look across the half empty room into your distant tired eyes I know I’m not alone.
Subtle smiles, stolen glances, and unspoken words left with a hushed tone.
