The White Sea
Staring down at the blank page;
Why are you tortured so?
Nothing written, conjures rage,
So you glance at the window.
Dream that you are a Seagull,
Scanning the ocean below.
All blue, no change, seeming dull;
Nothing disrupts the flow...
But you can smell them below
Feel it in the air
They swim around in droves
To catch one is your dare
You know what you must do
Arch your back and descend,
Into the expansive blue.
The blues and white blend
Back to reality, you’re pulled
You look at your page, feeling alive
All white, no change, seeming dull;
You know that you must dive.

This comparison struck me as I was supposed to be writing a school essay.
