I lay in sunlight,
With a future that could have been so bright,

I lay beneath the sky,
With all the tears I've cried,
Oh how I wonder what would happen if you rescued me.
I lay on dead grass,
Now that all the time has passed,
Wondering what would have happened if I rescued me.
