Hear that?

Of course you do.

That's the light pitter-patter of the rain,
My child.

Why does the rain glow a blazing orange?
Well my dear, that's because a few men just
Don't like each other too well, so they're just throwing
The Orange Rain at each other.

What's that?

Why does the Rain make craters? Well,
That's just because the men that
Don't like each other want to
Hurt each other.

Why do they want to hurt each Other? I suppose
They want to do so because their Hearts are coal
Black, and are full of boiling hatred'
They can't feel anymore.

Why can't they feel? That is
A good question, my dear.

I suppose they can't feel because
They'the men'refuse to look over each others
Differences. It makes them angry that people are
Different, so they have to drop the
Orange Rain on each other.

Why don't the men stop? I
Don't know the answer to
That one, honey.

What would happen if the men stopped dropping
The Orange Rain?
Well, I suppose that life would be happier than it is
Right now.
I think that the men could get along with each other'
Perhaps live in peace and harmony.

When would that happen? Again, my dear
That's a question I don't know the answer to.
But I think that would happen just as soon as
They could let go of their hate and
Unclench their fist.

What?

Hmm...Just sit close by me,
Honey, just listen to the sound
Of The Orange Rain and
Hope for a better day'
A day where the
Orange Rain
Doesn't fall.

Hush, my darling
Try and get my sleep.

Dream, my child.
Dream for a brighter day'
A day with soothing winds and
Sunshine'
Without the Orange Rain.

This poem is a freeverse. There is no rhythm or structure to it.
However, this poem "Orange Rain" has a subtle message. I think though, that my readers are intelligent enough to interpret it.
