You're a whisper in August
Or an echo lost in thought
You faded before September
And obviously you forgot

I'm still alone in darkness
And this light is still so dim
Now we're inside November
And our friendship has gone slim

When day ends, yes I miss you
Yet that won't change one thing
And before this day hits night soon
I already feel that sting

Life calls it a moment
My mind did also to
And yet you were only temporary
Lost in the full moon

And now I lay here coping
Because that's all I can do
Memories of all the good times
Are all that's left of you

And yes I still miss you
But that wont change one thing
And you remind me of last year
When I lost everything.

I really like this. I think you have some great imagery. My only gripe is that the fourth stanza doesn't rhyme, and the inconsistency of it is distracting.

Good job otherwise. :)
