The Time You Won

The time you won your town the race
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by, And home we brought you shoulder-high.

The time you scored the winning goal
We held a parade for you
Mothers and daughters are staring at you around town
And trophies you got

The time you caught the game winning touchdown
We named a street after you
Everyone in state congratulation you
And the State trophy you in your school
