The Elemental Glue of Forever

Every time I come around I make families happy.
But I can tear one apart simply by leaving.
I am the center of the human race but few truly understand me.
I can destroy people internally without even a thought.
In the same way I can make you the happiest person on earth.
I am never perfect.
Nor do I try to be.
I am the cause of joy and the bringer of misery.
Robbing someone of me is considered a great offense.
But if you introduce me you will be praised.
Some people love me.
Yet some people hate me.
But me; I am who I am.
I am Life.
