To give me pride
they stood tall.
fought till death,
but yet, they still stood tall.
I watch from my peek
of wealth and fame
watched as my people enslaved themselves.
They look to me
for heighth and guidence
but all I offer
is greed alone.
I chose not the life I live.
But wished for a life of both
peace and wealth.
But to have peace,
there is no wealth.
But to have wealth,
there is no peace.
And so I sit on my peek
of wealth and shame.
For my mistake of choosing wealth,
I am frozen in stone and time.
Forced to watch as the walls around me fade.

This poem was written about the world today. The lines: 'But to have have peace, there is no wealth. But to have wealth there is no peace...' means that if you have wealth, people are looking to you to give money to the poor. Therefor, taking advantage of you. People want to war with you because of your pockets. Giving you sorrow. And so, to have peace, you can't have wealth. Because once you become wealthy, the above happens.
This poem is written from my point of view. How I see the world as it is today.
