In this room, in this cell
Feelings, expressions, and words trapped in jail
Containing both intentions of benevolence
And malevolence
Things so dense,
In meaning, looking for away out but they're still trapped like cattle in a fence
The fence of his mind
For when he leaves all these things in the room are left behind
Time after time
And more
For him this is what it's like behind a closed door

It's all locked up; the key is lost in the ebony of the dark corners of the room
The malevolent ebony of a wood-be doom
Here in these corners evil looms,
Lingering trying to find a crack in the wall to escape
There is not one now but it's never too late
So it sits and waits
And anticipates
Never appreciates
But always hates
To wait
For the day it escapes
Through the gates
And goes to explore
For him this is what its like behind a closed door

In the light there is hope
But like a dog it's tied to a rope
Never to have a chance to try to be free in to his life
Never to be free because there is no knife
To cut the strings bonded together
Seems like forever
Hope will never
Stop the song of benevolence it sings

Things
So superb for the good of his fellow brethren
But hopes words are trapped in the room suffocated and smothered within
So the words of hope keep splattering on the walls
Never to find their way out never at all
Each word each phrase
It seems until the end of days
Down the sides of the walls
Hopes words will fall
As they pour
For him this is what its like behind a closed door

When he is out in the world leaving his true self behind
Locked in the room no one can find
He acts different, different to the outside world of mankind
It's all a lie like a hypocrite
His life outside the room is so counterfeit
But no one could ever know no one could
Ever tell
When he'll open up the door and free the things in jail

Only I know, because I am he
That has so many ideas concealed within me
I don't know which ones I should let free
I don't know who I am right now or what I am to be
Only the room holds my future
The future to set me free
But I'm dubious on what I should let out look back and remember
My actions and their nature
Remember what I chose, because I choose my future
Just like I chose my past
Got a North and South Pole
One good one bad which one will last?
Be a hero or an outcast?
I must think fast
My ideas so vast
In my secret life, in my secret room, most choices come in twos
Which one will I choose?
Oblivious, will I win or lose?
Scared of the out come of my decision
Look deep inside me fate make an incision
As the pain meds make me numb when I'm on the operation table and the choice is made
Live of die?
Ideas fall of fly?
Happy of cry ?
Should I still live a lie?
Or should I put that aside?
And try something new?
Try something true?
And stick to what I do?

All these statements, all these questions,
I say to and ask myself as I look straight into her emerald eyes
If I tell her the true will our relationship die?
Will it be no more?
Then I woke up it was all a dream
Or so it seemed
For I woke up in the room behind the closed door
