Addicted to the blade
Addicted to the pain
Addicted to the blood
I'm an addict of something that's driving me insane

Addicted to the red lines
Addicted to the stares
Addicted to the razors
No one really cares

Addicted to the lies
Addicted to the things that hide
Addicted to the scars
That run so deep inside

I'm addicted to the blade
Addicted to the pain
Addicted to the blood
I'm an addict of something that's driving me insane

The author's comments:
This poem was written during the worst months of my life when I had a fairly severe self injury problem. Since then I have recovered and am now doing much better. To anyone who relates to this poem: Hang on. I know, believe me, I know how bad life can get. But eventually it DOES get better. Hold on to hope, and never give in. You aren't alone.

life had i loved the more
had it but passed away
