Roses and Cigarettes
Neither have I tried
For when you said you loved me
You wouldn't know you lied

Perhaps it was my fa'ade
Because I looked into your eyes
And when we held each other close
We knew what love implied

Roses and cigarettes
Both I thought to try
Because when we were young,
No one told us we would die.

Love and lost youth
Heavy hope and light regrets
Love and addiction
My roses and cigarettes
