The small boy
There is a small boy
He sits on the corner
He sits all alone
Staring in wonder
He sits there for hours
And hours on end
Waiting for his life to begin
He sits there through sunshine
And dark stormy weather
Never reviling
Whats under his sweater
He hides up the bruises
He sits there in pain
He waits in the darkness
Hiding in rain
His dad is a drunk
His mom is no better
He sits all alone
Clinging to his sweater
He sits on the corner
Through cold endless night
He sits on the sidewalk
He waits for the light
His small little sweater
Is his only friend
He sits on the corner
Waiting for his life to end
