Chasing Time
The seconds feel like they're screaming by
my idle hands are dead,'cold
frozen to the minutes'
we're chasing time trying to keep a hold''
O, how I wish to know the answers
to these questions, and
O, how I wish to see the end''
O how I wish to know what'll happen
from here till then''
but the rain'' it's always on my breath!
my words, my sounds
all confused''all unheard, all drowned
in the violence, of a storm that's never seen a
red light in it's life
I won't be found''
anywhere but the eye
of this tragedy.
The thunders pounding over my head, and
the walls are caving in
I punch, I kick, I scream
but the water it's so Warm, Spring's sweet rain
gives us life, but Winter'
Winter, she'll take it again.
The seconds feel like they're screaming by
my idle hands are dead,'cold
frozen to the minutes'
we're chasing time trying to keep a hold.
