A lie is a truth led astray
An idea once innocent
Gone the wrong way

Everything false shares a hint of truth
The wrong starts out right
This takes no sleuth

One becomes two and two becomes eight
Lies often snowball
Until its too late

The truth is bent, stretched, and torn
And of these actions
Lies are born
