I sit here alone, tears pouring down my face
As I watch the world fall apart, looking around to find your face
I smell your scent everywhere that I go, you’ve taken over me
and all the feelings that I own
Then you left, I saw your face full of misery
Even though you left to find grace
And I wonder why I still cry
For somebody that’d rather be with a girl who’s heart he says ‘is mine’

Now I see the world as it is
Alone and sad because without you in my life there is no one else to call dad
You hurt me more then I ever could have imagined
Yet still I say
I’m here and still today
I love you and call you my dad
Even though I feel worse than I ever have

Every night I sit and wait to see if will wake up from this and see it was all a dream
But that’s when I realize I’m not asleep
I still keep going and I hold on tight despite everything
I know you might
Still come back and never say goodbye
I miss you more than ever
Including the tears and fights
But sometimes it feels like you love her more
Then I wish I wouldn’t wake up anymore

Now I see the world as it is
Alone and sad because without you in my life there is no one else to call dad
You hurt me more then I ever could have imagined
Yet still I say
I’m here and still today
I love you and call you my dad
Even though I feel worse than I ever have

My tears have run dry
Because I hide them in disguise for fear of me falling apart
Whenever I see you
I still believe that underneath it all that you’ll always be my superman
and you’ll never fall

Because I know you’ll push through it all

Wow, this is a very heartfelt poem. I love the line, "Now I see the world as it is

Alone and sad because without you in my life there is no one else to call dad". Very nice write.
