She had one last ambition
As a scared young girl
She wanted to escape
She wanted to run
Run away from her life
The yelling,
The screaming,
The crying,
The hitting
She wanted to end it
End the life
Knives,
Guns,
There were so many ways.
She waited,
She watched,
She planned
She heard it.
The yelling,
The screaming,
The crying,
The hitting,
Then she ran,
As far as she could,
From the pain,
that was her world
She wanted to end it
End the life
She was so scared
And yet so determined
And then she did it...
And brought rest to her soul.
